Purpose of the project
The main objective of the project is to provide young people from rural areas with the opportunity to develop social entrepreneurship skills to address local challenges and promote economic development. Through business incubators, the project aims to support young social entrepreneurs and foster the adaptation of vocational education and training (VET) to the needs of rural regions.
Results:
The project will deliver 10 e-learning modules on social entrepreneurship for rural youth, provide an up-skilling program for VET professionals, and establish Rural Impact Incubators to support young entrepreneurs. This initiative will lead to the creation of new social enterprises that address local needs, enhance economic opportunities, strengthen community cohesion, and align with EU goals of social inclusion, resilience, and sustainability in rural areas.
Main activities of the project
- Social entrepreneurship e-modules for rural youth entrepreneurs – 10 e-modules, each lasting 60 to 90 minutes, covering key topics necessary to develop the social entrepreneurship skills of vocational education and training (VET) participants.
- Upskilling for VET professionals – Training for vocational education and training specialists to successfully deliver the social entrepreneurship training programme to VET learners in rural areas.
- Rural Impact incubators – These incubators will provide practical support to young entrepreneurs who have completed the online modules, helping them develop their social enterprises and apply the knowledge gained in practice.
