Project Partner Meeting in Uppsala

The Transnational Partner Meeting held in Uppsala, Sweden, on 16-17 April 2026, served as a valuable strategic milestone for the Sustainable Advocates project.

Hosted by the Sustainability InnoCenter (Sweden), the assembly convened partners from the Valmiera Development Agency (Latvia) and WeLearn Limited (Ireland) to synchronize efforts as the 15-month initiative reached its halfway point.

This meeting was essential for ensuring that the project’s goal of equipping young vocational education and training (VET) learners with the skills to make sustainable consumer choices remains aligned with the European Green Deal and circular economy principles.

Significant attention was dedicated to the design of 6 educational infographics and facilitation of the Sustainable Fashion Challenge. Through collaborative workshops, partners applied behavioural change models to the “No Fast Fashion Challenge” framework, developing the daily motivational tips and social media engagement strategies required for the pilot phase. This framework is designed to support 30 VET learners (10 per country) as they navigate a 30-day period of reduced consumption, documenting their shifts in habit through mindful reflections or social media publications.

Looking ahead, the consortium finalized the roadmap for Dissemination activities, ensuring the project’s long-term impact on the vocational education sector.

Stay tuned for upcoming project opportunities to increase your awareness about sustainable fashion!
